Zhorik and his new “dining room”

22 Sep, 2017

Just look at beautiful Zhorik exploring his new “dining room”! Zhorik has a huge 1.5 hectares territory of the forest all for himself, but loves spending his time in this enclosure. He came to the Centre as a young cub, after he got neglected and nearly killed by a travelling circus.

He was fed chicken bones, a piece of bone stuck in his jaw and caused the infection, that was completely neglected by the circus. He nearly died, after a wrong diagnosis, but was rescued and underwent 9 surgeries. He will never be able to live a wild life, but after 9 surgeries and a large natural habitat funded by the kind donors of Forgotten Animals, he got the best life captivity can offer!

He lost a piece of his cheek, but apart from that is healthy and is living a happy life cared for by the amazing team of UTYOS.

Those of you who have been following us for a while already know about our long term work with UTYOS Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.

Read more about the amazing conservation and rehabilitation work they are doing and support their work!

On the picture above you may see how Zhorik looked when he was rescued from the travelling zoo, and the images below reveal Zhorik’s happy life today!
